Has anyone else had an inquiry from "Rev Enoch Fisher" about your item listed in the Cl***ified section. The inquiry I recieved looks like ******** and a hoax. Looks like the con men are fishing off our list.
let me guess, he is going to give you a check for 4 grand too much? He has a friend that owes him money and his friend will write you a check for 4 grand too much? He is an African Royal Family member with 20 billion in the bank? I get them all the time and they also check these cl***ifieds.

Dear, I will like to tell you my interest in buying your part for sale.I will like you to please get back to me with the present condition of the part, and the last offering price of the part. I await your great responses concerning the parts for sale. Thanks and God bless you. Regards. Rev Enoch Fisher. Does anyone else see any red lights, huh? I hate these *******s.
I've been getting a tone of these for the Edsel wagon I'm selling. Never got any of them off the HAMB cl***ifieds, but as soon as it got posted on the Edsel web site, I started getting about 2 a day. I've been replying with the following statement: "Get ****ed." Seems to get the point across. I only had one guy even reply back, and he wanted to know why I would tell him such a thing when he was just trying to buy my car. I told him it was because he's a thief and a liar. Haven't heard back again.
I get these all the time since I post parts on different sites. I just got one that said the guy was from Germany (with an English sounding name), and at the very bottom of the e-mail it said "Indiamail, free e-mail for India) or something to that effect. You can spot these things a mile away, maybe two. I can't believe they get anywhere with this scam, but perhaps there's enough ****ers out there to keep them fed. One successful scam and they can live well for a year I imagine. Either that or they are part of a boiler room operation and it's their bosses that make the money while they just think they have a legit job. Sometimes I wonder.
You know, I just remembered this: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=309759&page=&view=&sb=5&o=&fpart=1&vc=1 That was fun. I think I lost the guy when I sent him a photo of a red Yugo with a tree on top of it, taken from a Yugo boneyard in Europe.
Basically, the scammer has some excuse why they have to cut you a cashier's check for WAY more than you're asking for the car. Then you cash the check, pay for the shipping and send them the difference. A couple weeks later the check comes back as counterfeit, and won't clear the foreign bank, so your bank comes after you for thier money back, and you never hear from the "buyer" again. Or something to that effect.
