Hopefully there are some others on here too! I'm also hoping to locate some other younger do it yourself folks who live in the Pacific Northwest.

I'm Laura and I am from central Oregon. I have a '59 Lincoln Capri I am tryin to fix up. Its my first project but definitely not my last. Hopefully I can get some good tips and have some fun!

There are people from Ohio EVERYWHERE. I used to live near Canton and I meet Ohioans all over out here.

    Thanks for the welcome!

    Laura,

You came to the right place. I'm not into your type of car but you will find people here that have a vast knowledge of what you are trying to create.

The collective minds here constantly astound me. I am no young guy either. I have been building Model A's all my life but this is the place you come to for information & help.

    Welcome.

Just noticed you are in Bend. The wife & I were there last 4th of July visiting with her sister & husband. We were at the balloon man's take off & got a ton of pics of it.

I noticed that the metal in Bend, being on the "dry" side of the mountains looked really good.

you have alot more to work with than us in the rustbelt.

I want to reply to all of you so I'll do my best to go in order! You guys are fast posters!

I'll be putting some pictures up as fast as possible! I'm more than happy to show it off

I've met a few guys that are building themselves here but not as many as I would have hoped. One I met last summer had just moved from SOCAL and was trying to get his son to move to Bend also. Maybe the same guy?

For the Linc I am going to try to keep it pretty original I. It is pretty pristine and I feel like I should build on that. I really would like to do a custom job but I don't think on this one.

The weather around here is perfect for keeping cars in good condition! This one supposedly was under a pile of hay for a long time and just kept it like a little time capsule. In wet areas it would be a stinky moldy mess. They have started to put this spray on the roads for the ice and it tried eating the chrome and paint this past winter. Nasty stuff. Worse than salt in my opinion.

    Thanks everybody!

Welcome to the HAMB. We don't care if you're a girl as long as you are into traditional rods. Most of us don't mind if you're a girl, either.:)

I like it - It looks really solid. This car looks like the perfect ride for the drive-in (we still have some in AZ).
