Ken, you aren't gonna believe this, but while you're on here asking about this '37, I'm on the eBay Motors discussion board, identifying this '37 Plymouth that someone else said was a '36 Chevy. Obviously, that means you should buy it

    $500.00?

sign me up. I'll take 10 of them and haul them all back to California and make about $15,000.00 minus shipping and advertising.

You guys are on drugs. The front fenders are worth $500. If it runs it's worth at least twice what anyone said.

If you get it and need some extra parts I have some laying around now (even a good set of brakes with rear wheel cylinders:D)

  14. I have to laugh when I see people say $500. What year are you stuck in? 1970? 1980? Price just the grille for one of those and get back to me.

I'd be asking 10 times that if it runs and drives and just needs paint. Which is about what the #4 value is, and I'd purposely ask high with room to move - you can always come down, but it's a lot harder to go up.

If you can buy it for $2500 or less, it's a bargain.

There you go, you've got some parts for it already...I mean, really what can you get for a grand anymore?? 4 door, or not, it looks to be in the condition we're ll looking for, and I agree, the dang fenders are worth $500...I say at $1200, or even $1500, it would be a steal...it really depends on what needs to be done to get it safe and drivable...I say go for it...but then, it's not my money, so what do iI know?

it's a solid late 30's car, It's no 35' Ford 3 window or anything but I would not insult the guy with a low ball offer like 500 bucks. Get an idea of what the owner is thinking. Feel him or her out. I think around $3500 bucks would be a good deal. You could have a nice car for less than or 8 grand. fresh engine, brakes, tires, and paint You can't even buy a nice Honda civic for that..

Take cash green money with you in the amount that you believe it is worth to you and you are willing to pay. I've found that a lot of these guys end up asking for sky high prices because so many dreamers show up with no cash.
I'd say under 2000 should buy it unless the guy thinks it is make of gold.

It's a car that lends it's self more to simple mods with mayby a 318/360 out of a late 70/early 80's doner car. that and a tasteful paint job, interior and wheels and tires and you should have a nice family cruiser that won't break the bank. Even with the flathead six freshened up it would make a nice reliable cruiser. Maybe not a freeway burner but still a nice cruiser.

Ask the seller what they will take. I have no Idea how people can say offer $500.00.... If anyone on this Thread had this car for sale, they sure would not consider an offer of $500.00 at all. Dont Upset the seller buy saying something like that. any Paperwork? That is worth a lot. It looks complete. Think of it. Where are you gonna find one of these again? Post the address or the Phone number of the Seller on this thread. I Guarantee it will be gone for a lot more than $500.00 before you can drive over there again. There was another thread on here that asked. Why do people Part Out Cars instead of selling them as Complete. I got the answer. I GOT THE ANSWER. .............. $500.00 offers.......
If you want it. Hope you buy it or save it from being parted out. Buy it for what it is worth to you. Or Turn a friend on to it before its gone.

What!!!?? why is $500 so insane ,,,just cause cars are in fashion does'nt make them worth anymore. NOW the fact everyone wants one yeah sure you could ask alot and get it. Yet for everyone thinking this is worth far far more money,,just look in the cl***ifieds and on ebay at all the 37 4 doors for sale.any high dollar sales ???....Also all who say oh its worth **** easy,,have you sold one lately? Internet value and real life two different worlds and 20-30 years ago you would pay x amount..no reason that should change now. Putting a value of $3000 on that just keeps making more cars out of reach as those who don't know ( and everyone has said it ) about cars but has an old one and says " I want $5000 " just cause they know its an old car,and mean while folks complain about teh ones that sit and rot etc etc..yeah casue a false sense of what they are worth is out there and people will sit on them..Hes gonna have to put a grand into that just to get on the road ( give or take ) an most folks saying high # what it's worth,,you sure as hell would'nt offer that for it,,you'd try and get it as cheap as you could..

LOL! If that car belonged to any of you who said $500 was a good deal, and it was up for sale, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be a $500 car any more. I can't find anything old around here for $500. Let alone complete and solid... and possibly running.

You go by there and offer the owner $500 and you will be shown to the gate.. :D

If the rest of the car is in as good of condition as the outside appears to be, I'd pay $2000 without even blinking. Cripes, look at the condition of the grille and front bumper. That alone should be a pretty good indicator of how the car has been treated. I'm another that doesn't understand the $500 comments on here, the car is worth way more than that. Upgrade the drivetrain and brakes and take a family vacation that you'll never forget.

Buy it, or call me. I've got the trailer hooked up.......

Here's some more eye candy, Ken. These two pictures are the same car as the other photo (and I mean, literally, the exact car, not just one like it). I like the blackwall incarnation. The '35 Ford 5 window ain't bad, either.

The $500 comments come from the unknown. When it's posted that you know nothing about the floors but they must be good because it has original interior......alarms go off. When it's got a later engine we know nothing about for condition or installation quality, alarms go off.

Realistically, what that car is worth depends on how he advertises it. The market for that car is very small. To the person outside that narrow segment, it's a $500-2000 car depending on how it presents in person. Within it's narrow market, the prices are probably doubled.

But remember, it's no longer original because of that engine. That hurts the narrow market, as many are purist restorers.

good luck with the game! Play it honest and have some fun, that's what old cars are about.
