I stopped by Todd's on Sunday. It's crunch time and they've got to get this Dragster done. It's last days of a build that's the hardest. It will be a sweet release when Todd takes his first ride down the strip.

... is the chain drive custom built???
Or, can you get that off the shelf, so to speak?

 

Was a 50's things quite a few cars actually ran that set up,,Motorcycle and Bicycle chains were used

The body is painted and lettered, the chassis went to paint this morning, the brakes showed up on Monday, still haven't heard from Hilborn yet. I think we'll make it on time. Todd.

Holy F'ing moly. How did I miss this one. Very neet. I have seen the old photo of this car before. But didnt know it was being restored. Cant wait to see it in BG.

 

Gonna be thrashing this weekend? I'll be in Ypsi for the show Sunday, I'd love to stop by and see all of the progress you've made since my last visit.

Wow what a great thread!! Everything from the past in one place. The cajones factor in the dragster had to be huge!! They must have packed plenty of underware when they went to the track. Thanks guys!!

Thank you to all the people that have provided the much needed assistance with the building of this car, I can't thank them enough. However this project is DEAD in the water. It will not be at Hot Rod Reunion. I've run out of time, money and patience. I'm deeply sorry to disapoint everyone that was looking forward to the debut of this car, I'm fairly sure that nobody is more disapointed than me.

Well that sucks sweetie I know how hard it is to do everything yourself as far as paying the mortage, bills AND still trying to come up with extra money to build a car....been there, done that, it's not easy. If it was everyone would be doing it. I wish I had the $$ to 'invest" in he project. Hell I wish I had the money to just give you for this project. Don't lose hope though. Take your time, do it right, you have 12 months now to finish.
