OK, here's another update from Seret Speed & Custom in Vallejo, CA. Matt has been working on the hood sides and they're very close to done. Pretty much all of the rough work is finished for the hood and nose. Now just the fitting and fine tuning... Layout for the fade out body line in the hood side. Matt beating his meat....I mean, metal. Roughed out hood side mock up. I can't wait 'til the intake and exhaust are hanging out! The other side...
KIRK, Don't y' just hate people with that MUCH talent! Comin' along NICELY, sure will be a lotta FUN once you get to drive it! Nick.

It's no torque wrench, but... Matt finishes up the header before I took it to Cap's Coating in Fresno. I made a baffle for it from a glass pack. I cut the ends off and slipped the guts out. Trimmed down the fiberglass cloth to wrap more tightly around the baffle. Got some screen material to keep the fiberglass cloth in place. Cut a section of exhaust tubing and cut out a slot in order to reduce the diameter. To make a shim/keeper for the ends of the insert. The other end. I slipped the wrapped fiberglass cloth and screen under the lip of the ends to keep it in place. The finished insert.
It fits! Finishing touches. At Cap's in Fresno the header got sand blasted... ...hung on the rack... ...got a blow job... ...heat coated inside... ...checked for complete and even coverage... ...then ceramic coated on the outside. I'll post more after this weekend!
looking goos kirk. since you are spending all this time in V-town, have you hit up the roach coach on Solano by the muffler shops? or checked out the vintage porn selections at Funville?
Same here! We rolled it outside for the first time on Saturday to be able to get back from it. Holy crap! I'll post pics later of it outside.
What are the odds that MTV collector's cards would be mentioned twice in one week on the HAMB? I just was telling CHRIS on his roadster thread that I had to sell my complete set of cards including a mint EDDIE MONEY and DIGITAL UNDERGROUND card to pay for the '32 Coupe!!!! Hahahaha!!!
i found the mc hammer card taped to my oil pan. vanilla ice is inside my grill shell. eric b and rakim is under the trunk pan. i know there is a digital underground one also, i have yet to find it. im leaving them on till they fall off.. this is what happens in vallejo when you leave for a few to go to the auto parts store.
