...'57 150 2-dr. sedan, nearly complete, (front bumper is inside but front seat is missing), 6-cyl./3-speed car...was driving thru a small, one-horse town in Michigan down near the Ohio border, on my way somewhere else, and spied one rear fin poking out from behind a garage...stopped and talked to the gentleman about it, he didn't think it was good for anything, and was going to s**** it!

A couple Ben Franklin's later, we sealed the deal...and, he had the ***le!

I can't believe he had the ***le with it to boot, in alot of states you'd kill for that, the ***le alone could be worth what you paid for it.

I've saved two recently. A64 fairlane the owner said was going to the crusher if it didn't sell. He gave it to me for free, well, I did have to load it on the trailer with two frozen drum brakes. one front and one back, on oposite sides. The other, I have a buddy who actually crushes cars. We have a deal that if it is older than a 65 he calls before he crushes. I'm tryin to save as many as I can. Like I told him, they arent making them anymore!!!
edit: The second a 58 lincoln continental. I shouldnt drink before 5 pm, it seems to make me stupider!

Chad...I ALWAYS stop and ask!...the worst they can say is "NO"!

...it's definitely not "mint",...it does need a rocker and quarter patch panel on the p***enger side, and some floor work...but absolutely worth saving...

Great find. Want to double your money? Seriously though just weld the chrome holes shut and g***er this thing. I do think the angled paint divider that comes down from the beltline dip is the same as 56 and there are plenty of those running around. The hardest find would be the door and quarter moulding.

That's exactly what I thought. Whenever I think of '57 g***ers, I always think of the blue one owned by Todd Haas. Great find.

Nice Fine! If you decide to part out I could use the oil plan and the right side front fender well.

Rule number one:Alway stop to ask! Years ago I had a guy answer an ad I had for old cars. He was in charge of cleaning up his neighbors property and it had cars! 51 chevy conv, 40 chevy truck, lots of 4 door 50's buicks. I was sure he wanted big money and didn't even bother to ask. Yeap, sold it all for 100 bucks to someone else. Rule number 1, I'm a dumb***, always ask. You scored big and on behalf of humanity I thank you!
