54 Chevy tail lights in a 53 Chevy?

Can anyone tell me if 54 Chevy tailights will fit in a 53 Chevy with no fender modification? Thanks.

Quickest and easiest modification you can make to a 53, the original tail lights are just wrong. 54 bezels with bubble lenses are clean and right at home.

 

Just make sure you get the 54 base too, it spaces the bulbs out correctly.

53's look right on a 53..54's look right on a 53 too..but that dont make the 53's wrong

BTW to answer the original question..53's and 54's fit both years

 

They are a direct bolt in. Get the entire ***embly. I know 'cause I did it back in 1963. 1953 and 1954 Pontiac station wagon tailights bolt right in too - but they are very rare and hard to find. My dad did the 54 TL treatment in his 53.The other bolt in light would be 53 Pontiac Wagon tl's.If you can find a set.

 

i know someone on this board who has a set of three of em.
