Is that the info that you were looking for??? I have never been there. I HAVE HEARD about the place... Looks to be just to the North of Minneapolis...
Are there any regular "gathering"places that the rodders hang out in twin cities?I always see a few rides @ the IHOPP next to M.O.A on sundays in the summer.
porkys in st Paul or Minneapolis, saturday nights is ok, north st Paul Friday nights starting in June is a good time. There's every other Saturday downtown st Paul on kellog ave, also Hastings every other saturday, and ankoa every other Saturday. Shit there lots to do.
I vote for Anoka on Saturday nights too!!! Close to home. [for me] Billy's makes the best burgers and corn on the cob...
by the way pshyco suzis kind of sux, I've been there a million times, but not in the last 3 years cause it turned into a preppy trendy yuppie hang out.
Psycho Suzi's is awesome,,,just down the street from the grain belt brewery,,, great food,,,beverages,,,atmosphere,,,cheap drinks,,,souvenier glasses,,,etc,,, NE mpls has a TON of cool neighborhood bars,,, when i lived over there could walk a mile and hit any one of a dozen catholic churches,,, or TWO dozen bars,,, mayslacks meat can't be beat,,,, Lee's liquor lounge downtown is an awesome bar,,, most rockabilly bands end up playing there at one time or another,,,, Dale Watson wrote a song about Louie and the bar,,,, you'll usually see some car turnout there depending on the bands,,, xoxox miss hootch i miss minneapolis,,, except for the 8 months of winter,,,,
that sucks,,, i moved about 4 years ago,,, used to go to the drive in before it closed and then opened as suzi's,,, xoxox miss hootch
My old house was about a mile from there, Polish Palace is better than Jaros, Gabbys was wierd one night many years back, I repressed that memory. Art Minion is a cool Kustom Culture art Gallery next to Gabbys that the MN dudes showed me this winter.
I've been to Pshyco Suzi's. It's got it's own vibe. It's worth a visit. The foods pretty good. I would second Porkey's on University. Cosetta's in St Paul by Xcel Center has awesome Pizza and Italian. I heard that they decided to go every week for The Anoka River Run. Great show. LOTS of cars. 1000+ some nights. It's a bit of a drive but The Minnetonka Drive-in in Spring Park has Hot Rod Thrusdays and some pretty good food. There's always a lot of cool cars and bikes there. Check the M.S.R.A. web site for car events.
I'd agree; Psycho Suzi's is worth a stop. Also in Northeast Minneapolis is the 331 Bar, and Modern Cafe next door for a really good meal. Mayslack's, also in the neighborhood, is fun. This weekend and/or next is Northeast Minneapolis' 14th annual Art-A-Whirl, an art gallery and studio crawl with some great music and events too.
Anoka is every Saturday except for 4 week ends, go to the city of Anoka for dates. If you go to Anoka gime me a shout I live near there. jim h
