Does anyone make a bushing for the bottom of a Model A spindle? We do not have the king pin out as of yet, but I think the play is coming from the spindle and not the king pin.
    Thanks, Robert

The bushings should be part of the kingpin set.

I've seen a couple that had been let go way to long without repair and they were worn egg shaped and couldn't be repaired but those were on old farm rigs that didn't get much care as long as they still functioned.

Here is a link to the stock stuff but there should be sets without the piece for the mechanical brakes.

most guys swap later model spindles onto th Model A axle though so they can run hydraulic brakes.

  3. there are bushings pressed into the spindle for the kingpin. my guess that both are worn . but if after you take it apart you determine that all you need are bushings , Snyder's has them separately

Snyder's has a king pin bushing set, part number a-3111-k for $17.50.

And they will need to be reamed to fit the kingpins. Usually a machine shop procedure. The FOGGER
