Anyone goin' to Super Run in Vegas?

Wonderin' if there is anyone going to Super Run in Vegas this weekend. Am in San Diego and leaving Friday AM. Wondering if there are any other cars going that would like to cruise up together. Takin' my radical '51.

 

yep! but unfortunantley wont have my cars there i might be taking a chasis for sale. do you go every year? it would be nice to see some different cars this year.

 

Used to live in Vegas. Left 15 yrs ago. Helped put on the first Super Run in '83. Haven't been to one since. Kinda excited to go and check things out!

 

Just noticed you a Henderson. Staying with a friend there. About how many cars show up?

 

yeah iwas born and raised in hendo and have been going for the past five years or so. not too many rat rodders her or kustoms mostly muscle and cl***ics but its still pretty damn cool

 

if you go from basic road to lake mead its about packed the whole way. at least last year it was.

 

Lived there for 28 years. Got my confirmation in the mail today, but does not say what number entrant I am

 

the weather here has been awsome so its gonna make for a bafd *** weekend. what does your 51 look like?

 

It was built in Vegas 20 years ago. It is a 1st series Chevy truck. Rear engine, handmade tilt bed, Porsche red. Not a traditional custom, but the only running rod right now. Pretty cool truck

Definitely not very many Traditional rods at this show, seems like the Vegas area just doesn't get it. Oh well, they ARE hot rods too.

 

Casino Monte Lago is having some sort of car show today, Thursday till 9 tonight... just an fyi for you guys in town. I won't be there cuz its bowling night.

 

Where is the show? I have not heard of it. Might have to go up there this Fri for work. Is it in Henderson or LV? Is there a web site with info?

 

Gracie, the show at the swamps errrrr Monte Lago is the Thursday portion of the Super Run.

The show is in Henderson, of course, they block off Water Street (main street) and everybody parks their cars on the street, it's pretty big for a pseudo local show, lotsa muscle cars, a few customs and very few tradtional rods. It is a good time tho, couple of bands at night.

It's free for spectators and a bit pricey to show. I think pre-entry is $50 and at the door is $65!

Also, on Saturday it's the Wurstfest and local car show in Boulder City, more casual and less cars.

Here's some info... Super Run . I think Dreamweaver has the same but I can't tell because work won't let me open either? There is a doughnut shop group that meets on Sat. mornings that is more along the lines of traditional (and free)...that is if your looking for something to do when work brings you here on the weekends

right on! have a hell of a time at the show im on my way after i pick up my son. you might have seen my car at the shows on timet feild. on fathers day. it was a rat rod chopped 50 chevy with a muti color primewr metal paint job

 

Tropicana & Mt. Vista. 6:30am to around 8am. After that we either go home, to a show or off to have a greezzy bar breakfast.

 

We we're their all 3 days and had a great time, We even won a trophy with the Ice Cream Truck.
