Hey everyone! I had heard about this site some time ago, briefly looked around the 'artist' section, felt completely intimidated by the abundance of amazing talent and turned away. I finally decided I should just man-up, join and see what it's all about. Hopefully I'll learn a lot and also be inspired by such great and talented people. A little about me...39 y/o male, I've had a p***ion for cars since birth. Growing up, Mom & Dad always gave me a crayon/pencil/pen to keep me quiet whenever we went out so I'd draw cars. Here I am today trying to make my side biz of drawing cars more successful. I do logo design, T-shirt artwork, custom paint scheme design, renderings, etc. I've done a number of fun projects over the years and have even painted a few cars as well, although I prefer illustrating them as it's not quite as much work. Here are a few samples of my work... Here's a car which I designed the shop logo and graphics for a little over a year ago. He had it 'lettered' last year and the artist didn't paint it exactly like my renderings so after his disappointment, he searched out another artist who successfully achieved the look I had originally designed. Here's the final artwork on the car... _________________ This is a car I did a paint scheme for a few months back. He wanted something very subtle yet 'custom'... my rendering... and the finished car... _________________ This is a car which is being painted now and may possibly be in the upcoming DuPont calender... The car is being built by a guy who owns an upholstery shop so I designed a 'leather' look which will be airbrushed behind the logo and also within the 'stripe' around the car. Also, while I don't have any cars near as cool as everyone else here, I am a fanatic about keeping the cars I do have cleaned and detailed properly as evidenced here... and this was my prior ride (2001 ZX3) which I designed the graphics, painted, and pinstriped it myself... Some nice lookin' handi work there...whats a logo concept going for these days? Looking for something for http://www.EmblemMart.com. Whats there now was a quickie done to get the site live, but it does not do anything for me, or the site. Post info here or PM me.
