Event Coverage CuznBrucie does the 2009 Jalopy Showdown!

Guess I am a little bit later than a lot of folks who've already posted......but I have an excuse......I'm old and tired and had a long ride home!

Anyway, I started out on Friday to head up to Harrisburg and meet up with friends in the FLYERS Roadster Club, Zach Suhr, Jer Thomas, Roger Brandt,Chris Daniels and others for a nice laid back cookout......ate some burgers, drank some birch beer, and enjoyed seeing everybody again.......first a few pics from Friday afternoon......




Jeremiah also scooted down on his bobber....



MetalHotRodGirl and a friend dropped in for a while......good to meet Jen...she was digging Jeremiah's bobber too!



Soon, *Myke* arrived from New Hampshire in his killer Deuce 3w coo-pay.......everybody was digginh that to death.......and everybody got a ride but me......I'l take a rain check Mike.......





This is one of the most *period perfect* Deuce 3w's I have ever seen......











Mike was enjoying the old stock car racer that Zach and his Dad recently acquired.....





Mike was trying out everything for size....



And I was trying on Mike's coupe for size too!

The cookout broke up around 10 PM and we headed back to the motel to get some needed rest......7 AM was agreed upon for our trek out to Latimore......turned out that Myke and I had reserved at the same motel so he followed me there......

Saturday morning came around fast, and it was pretty dank and misty at first........but we all took off on time and here's some pics on the road to Latimore....













Faster than a speeding Greyhound bus!!







Once inside the grounds it was time to *Meet and Greet* old friends and a few new ones.....

Stache and I bumped into Megan in the morning



She was *stylin' real fine in her official SUHR Speed and Custom t-shirt!









Megan's roadster made it to the show and was a really cool old piece......



Bumped into **** Lewis, one of the finest machinists and car builders I have met.....



Then it was time to walk around and check out some cars.....

Great stuff. Looked like too much fun. That cutie with the flame tattoos is everywhere. She should join the hamb.

man I'd hate cleaning my engine after getting it that muddy...all that work...and then you do that...looks fun though..
