I have a neighbour that has one and asked if I can remove the front axle before he scraps the vehicle; Can this be set up be used in a gasser setup?
Get all you can off that there Econoline. Front axle, front leaf springs, shorty trans, bellhousing, seats, engine, etc., etc. Thanks, Kurt
Also grab the steering box and column. Econoline steering used to be real popular on T buckets and other lightweight cars with a push-pull drag link to the left spindle rather than cross steering.
Just wanted to confirm, I'll definitley be grabbing what I can before it gets shredded. I don't think its an extended version, but it sure has a big back window that wraps around both sides.... The body is too far gone to save and it was a parts rig for his restoration. Thanks for the responses and advice.....
I have a '65 ECONOLINE STRAIGHT AXLE I BOUGHT , IT IS COMPLETE WITH THE STEERING LINK AND THE SPRINGS , HUB TO HUB, MY QUESTION IS: CAN I PUT THIS UNDER MY '50 PONTIAC SILVER STREAK WITHOUT A WHOLE LOT OF PROBLEMS?
