Looking great so far, looks like you got the talent to get it done. What taillights you gonna run? Great start and good luck. Can't wait to see the finished car.

    been there.....had that thought.
Billy, if I could. I think the top of the fenders need to come in towards the roof. The valley between the body and the fenders is such a bitch to pull off and it effects the entire back of the car. The roll pan on our 51 Fleetline took almost 2 years before we got it looking the way we wanted. I was afraid it would look a little fat ass but didn't turn out that way
    Back to work !!

nice work so far billy o have a question? you put the front and rear floor butted edge to edge there was or is a flange for overlapping, and some guys do cut off the flange and butt weld. but why did you put the flange that goes under edge to edge with the front floor??? did you need the extra lentgh for some reason (customizing reason??). please advise

I Really like the way the Back end came out. Wish there were a few more pictures of re attaching it back and filling in the Back area. Looks Great! I am hoping it will be out on the road to see it in up close. Looks EZ from here but I know you had a lot of sweat in it.
    Thanks

well i am happpier with this slant back rather than the roll pan i had in it, it makes the rear real low.... the look i am after. here are a few pics. As far as the floorboards to me they seemed extra long (thought they were made that way if you were only replacing that panel) there is no custom work in there i set them over top old ones marked the floor then cut out the old metal. might not be the professional way but i dont get to anal with stuff thats gonna be covered.

Billy, got to admit, I like the way the back turned out as well. nothing like having only 3 or 4 choices and then finding a different way to skin the cat. The rear looks great !!!

forgot to mention look carefully at the trans mount the camaro t-5 is mounted on the bellhousing at like 14 degree angle. I had to fab up an angled mount cause i wanted it straight.

  30. Really nice work! Personally I am not a big fan of what you have done to the back of the car looks to angular and flat for a '50's car but the quality of work looks top notch and more to the point it's not my car so it doesn't matter:D.

    Keep the updates coming.
