Has anyone ever used LED bulbs for tail/stop lights? Are they worth the extra money? Where did you purchase them?

They don't scatter light to sides so all you see is a circle in tail light.

I put them in my '34 roadster after buddies complained that they couldn't see my brake lights. They work great and everyone can see them now.
Don't buy the LED bulbs that go in place of an 1157 bulb. They don't work that well. You need a full tail / stop light assembly . I got mine from Yearwood.

Who cares if they work? They're super traditional. ;)

(FWIW: Not all LED's are directional, and you can sand the face of an LED to make it scatter better. Just a little info.)

An alternative to LED bulbs is to paint the inside of your housing white and use the brighter Sylvania #2357 bulbs. You may find that you'll need a different flasher to activate the LEDs because they draw very low current and common flashers need a load to function. The FOGGER
