Help, My Paso Maria Weekend is Crumbeling!!!

I had my plans all set for Santa Maria Saturday. My buddy and I were going to head down early Sat. and stay the night with some freinds that live there. Well, a couple of days ago one of my freinds that we were going to stay with experienced some fairly seerious health issues and is still in and out of the hospital. Now it is a couple of days away and evey hotel is booked. I called a camp ground but got no answer. It's bad enough that I have to drive down in my daily since my '48 isn't done yet, and now I have nowhere to stay.

Any idea's? On the cheap?

google maps "hotels" I found a room yesterday. in fact i canceled a room at the holiday inn, this morning. (805)928-6000??? i think was the number
