I dont understand the question. What do you need to know. Buffing or sanding?

This is how I do it.

    1. after its wet sanded, I like to wet sand it again with 3000 a couple times. This will really speed up the buffing process. Its a little more sanding, but alot less buffing. I hate buffing.

    2. As far as buffing goes, use a foam pad. Black is the fine cell foam, softer and less swirl marks.

    3. For buffing compound, I like the maguires diamond cut. #10. Its a chemical cut. That means there is no real abrasives, no swirl marks. Keep your buffer speed slow, faster dont mean better, or faster finish.

Thats the fastest way to get a perfect finish.

Honestly, as long as it is variable speed, you will be fine. I like the electric version, some people like air buffers. I like the electric buffers because it doesent kill my compressor.

Sears has a decent buffer for the money. I use a Snap-on, thats the best electric buffer Ive ever used. And, Ive used them all.
