I painted my engine block and after looking at it I have decided that I hate it. Can I just scuff it up and spray the new paint or should I strip the block again and start over?
What kind of paint did you use? Aerosol, acrylic enamel, BC/CC? And how long ago? It makes a difference!
The best way is to get most of it off. The thing that kills paint on engines, besides the burning close to the exhast manifold, is too much thickness. I wouldn't get too **** with it, just scuff off, or wire wheel it as best you can.
I'm guessing I'll need to strip my paint off too, but... The block was painted about 3 yrs ago and the engine only has about 50 miles on it. . I don't know what it was painted by previous owner. I am going to paint it with por 15 engine enamel.
