Got this 331 Industrial Hemi today. Don't know anything about them and might just flip this one but dam they look cool.
damn looks like you got almost everything for that hot rod. engine, 32 frame, a nice lookin coupe, and a couple different grilles to choose from.
I'm into the air cleaner! Hey - do you think you could take a few pics of how they mounted the alternator? Or maybe of the exhaust manifolds? I'm half-***ed looking for a stock IND56 air cleaner... ~Jason
Is it just me or, or does there seem to be a LOT of early Hemis out there missing their waterpumps? I mean, is there some little evil Hemi goblin out there sneaking in late at night and taking them to his secret stash? I tried to pick up a waterpump for a 276 Firedome on ebay a few months ago and by the time it hit $75, the bidding was still going strong and it was out of my price range.
I've been toying with the idea of doing a BBC conversion on mine. If I do I'll have to rebuild the stock one and put it on for sale... but likely I'll stick to the stock pump. ~Jason
go find some of those 4 barrel propane runners and run some dual quad propane powered hemi, maybe add a sc... just an idea, would be cool
Cool exhaust manifolds open on either end and the alternator mounts to a special place cast into the intake manifold.
Sweet - thanks!!! The alt is using the factory generator mount, which is what I'd wanted to see. It's rigged, but doesn't **** that bad. Hmmmm... And yeah, those exhaust manifolds are awesome! I need a set. Headers will get me, but I really want a set of the industrials someday - mostly because I have this disability to like anything normal. ~Jason
