Can the temporary spare steel wheels usually found on an s10 blazer be used as a full time wheel ? Mine are stamped 16 x 4t, but, i'm hoping the " t " designation does not mean the welds won't hold up over time. Looking for an answer before i invest in the new cokers. Thanks..........mike

  2. The wheel should be fine. It's the tire that won't last.

Up here where winters suck somethin' fierce, lots of people use spare tire wheels for mounting snow tires, since they're skinny and cheap...

Harrison speaks the truth. Replace the rubber and you'll be fine.

Won't an S10 4x4 Temp wheel be deeply inset? The road wheels are.
(The ones I have had or worked on all had full size spares so I don't know the Temps at all...)

I have a pair of a 98-02 Lincoln 16" inch aluminum spares on the front of my Studegasser...should work out with decent tires.

The tire is the only problem ! They make great gasser wheels !
