We're working on a 37 Ford coupe for the latimore dirt track and we're missing some stuff in the grill area. We have nothing for the top or bottom of the grill or radiator. Even the radiator mounts are missing on the frame. I'm gonna mount the radiator where it "needs" to be and just might make everything else. It would be nice to see a picture or two of what we might be missing. The top of the radiator/grill area would be nice and even a down in look would be nice too. Thanks Clark
clark if you have a stock frame? the rad sits on a triangular bracket that terminates in a flange I "had" some of these brackets but think they are all gone now.. (however someone here must have a og 37 frame from which to measure) sawzall
i believe Ford used 3 different radiator mounts on the `35-`40 frame. if you look at wescot's frame drawings carefully you can see their dimensions . it wouldn't be too hard to make something up
The lower radiator mount doesn't bother me much. The front crossmember has been replaced and it has hurst style mounts. Might mimick the hurst mounts for the radiator. the area I'm concerned about is at the top of the radiator and grill. Does the grill attach to the radiator at all? I see two tabs on the top of the rad. Also..the Ford green book calls for 29 1/4" rad. suport rods. If I put it where I want it I need 32" rods. Rad. will benice and tight in the grill and plenty of room for a fan. Clark
