Anybody use one of the HTP 200 Mig welders? I was offered a used one one for maybe less than $500 doesn't have the bottle or regulators but I already have a small bottle and a set of Lincoln 100 weldpak gauges, would they work together? Anyway is it worth $500?
the thing that prevented me from buying anything from HTP is, where do you get it serviced? i think their products are manufactured off shore and there are no local dealers. jmho
They are a good machine for the money , but its not a miller. Ive used their mig, plasmas, and own a tig from them. The company is USAWeld to get service and parts, wich so far has been excelent. The consumables are the same as every body else, and havent had any problems of compatibility from other manufactures. Also there is alot of machines that are under different names but the same manufacturer. Made in Europe.
Is it worth $500.00? Yes. Is it a Miller? No. Is that a bad thing? I wouldn't personally say it is. I'd rather have a Lincoln than either one. lol
HTP makes a good product. As for being worth $500, i would say if it works, then yes it is....and getting it serviced is easy. Any National Welders/Airgas can work on it. They have a techie/mech on staff at all tank filling locations.
I've got a HTP 140 and like it, I guess it depends on how used it is. My package cost about twice that new.
