went to a flea market yesterday with my girl, there was an old guy there selling a bunch of misc stuff (nothing car related) but then i saw a couple car magazines, (nothing special) and the guy says, i have a box of some small books if you are interested. i look in the box, and it was full of "little books" i asked how much? he said, twenty five bucks! i said sold! got them home and heres what i got, 23 custom rodders, 20 custom cars, 17 speed and restyling, 28 rod&customs, 27 car crafts, 24 rodding and restyling, 14 rod building and customizing, 3 customs illustrated, 5 rods illustrated, 7 how to..., 8 hot rods, and 5 misc. thats 181 total. they all range from 1955 to 1961. and are all in really good condition except for a few. some are 1st issues too!!! the weather is pretty ****py today, so ill be reading for the rest of the weekend.
Nice score, at the price I paid for two a few weeks ago on Ebay that is probably somewhere between 4 and 5 hunderd bucks worth of magaznes if they are in prime shape.
This comes from one of the biggest magainze *****s in the world. Awesome score you easily have 800-1000$$$ worth of magazines there. Have fun reading, and thinking how great it would be to call the the dealer and get that Buick side trim, Packard tailights, and Destoto grill neded for you project.
Very good deal. I agree you just bought nearly $1,000 worth of magazines for a 20 spot and change... WOW!
I love flee markets and yard sales . I have found more car parts cheap a hell there ! Great find on the mags too !
man... one score like that would make up for all the time you go out looking and fimd a bunch of nothing. I'm always the guy who walks up as someone else was getting that deal.
Nice score, Bruce. I went to Ralph's in Worcester yesterday & had a blast. The weather really co-operated & the place was pretty packed.
