I'm thinking of doing sliding plexi windows in my 28 pickup. Its a drag race styled truck so I thought it would suite it? Any ideas or should I go with the roll up gl***? Have some pics with sliding plexi in a A?

I bought real gl*** sliders from Motion Windows. About $375 for 2. I had them cut off mounting flange from Series 900 and I had to build a lip around opening to hold them in and build up corners as windows had larger radius and sandwich them in with inside frame. In retrospect I should have ordered oversize and put behind posts. http://www.motionwindows.com/prod900.php

I ***ume your talking about making the plexi gl*** slide up and down inside the door panel? I have seen them with a slot in the center of the door panel with a knob at the base of the plexi. slide it up and tighten up the knob and it hold the plexi up? right?

Factory Five Racing uses sliding windows on the Type 65 coupe. Not very attractive looking, but may look okay with the drag race theme.

Maybe you could modify 67 and down vw bus side windows. Or maybe just use the rails.

There is a car around here someplace that has windows like this. I've seen it at the jalopy showdown the last 2 years or so. It's a neat car. let me see if i can get that guy to speak up.

mk 1 minins used gl*** windows and the latches for them have become hard to find. but most of the other parts can be found aftermarket.

depends on the door sill and track thickness really. 1/8 or 3/16 would be my guess. or if yer doin it for racing than theres prolly something in the rule book about how thick they should be

I was thinking 3/16" so doesn't flop around too much. I think I will have enough room for a channel that wide
