    Wow man,

My work travels have taken me to many places, some car related ,some just life related.

I may top them all in one night since, I AM HERE IN WEST PALM BEACH,FLORIDA !!!! ALMOST IN THE EYE OF THE HURRICANE!!!

Anybody else around here on the east coast of Florida?

I know Nads & Draglinks are up in Orlando area. Trying to picture Nads in his cabana wear watching Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel!

Here is a picture of wrath from my hotel balcony next to
    I-95!

I think you have to go back to the '30s for the last time FL got hit 4 times in the same season...

Here's hoping Jeanne fizzles out quickly!

  3. Jesus! My brother is there in West Palm too. He left for the others but decided to stick this one out. Good luck guys. I think you will be ok.

Is that true about the 30's? I heard on the news yesterday that they have never had 4 in one season since records have been kept in the 1800's. The news could be wrong though.

I'm sitting here waiting for the bitch to come. It's gonna be a big one, worse than Charlie.

I'm sick of this shit, I'm moving to Idaho.

    Be safe everyone.

    actually,

1852 was the last time we got this many.

1930's was a time of the strongest hurricane on record.

We are in the middle of the state and the two others have wiped most of this area out.75% of the houses/buildings are destroyed or need work more extreme than roof replacement. All 5 buildings at my business lost there roofs and ruined the contents. This one may do us in.Pray for us.

I don't know how you guys handle it. I guess home is where the heart is. I always think of the HAMBers when the news come on real hurricanes. I like where I live, none of that mother nature stuff ! Geoff aka Whodaky

Stay safe Grinder-man. Looks like us Tampons might not escape this one. Good luck to everybody!

  19. Winds howling a little, we are about to get the big rain bands on the front of the storm in an hour or two. I boarded up 2 windows I have to board up (the rest have folding awnings), after going to a party last night... about midnight... after some beers and shots... using power tools.

I have 3 big bandages this morning from "storm related injuries [IMG]"

Live report, 10:30am. The winds are still howling, the rain's still pouring. We have power, miraculously.
The top of another shade tree's come down right where the '60 wagon sits, but I had already moved it.
We just got a powerful squall, but overall I'd have to say this storm is nowhere near as bad as the first two we got.

    I hope everybody's safe.

Twice I typed a report of how things are going here and twice the power flashed off and I lost it. I'm gonna keep it short. We are OK so far and I hope all you others are too. The atmosphere is unreal right now, sounds like there is a Boeing 747 in my backyard at times. If you want to know where I live draw a line right through throught the center of the storms predicted path to the west coast of Florida. That's us! Wife is freakin out but we're allright.

Pray'in you all come out OK.

An update here. About an hour after I posted this the power started going on and off so I pulled the plug on the computer to avoid the dreaded "surge virus". Never lost power for more than 30 seconds ever. All I can say is that it was unbeleivable! All those reporters that go out in this weather are idiots.

Hope all the Floridians make it okay. And the folks from Georgia,North Carolina and.......

Two pics from my balcony of the aftermath. I'm in the red dodge (no flaming) there on the right.

I'm in Stuart (ground zero I guess) Wednesday thru Sunday on work related travel. Thought they would cancel my trip but want me there anyway. Well, here's to no more hurricanes this year!

    Cheers,

  26. Dam so much for that still got power after the storm bullshit. Four days no power and the cold showers didn't even keep my nuts from sticking together. But we made it . [IMG]
