Took my oldest daughter on a date to a A&W Drive-in. Cool place complete with roller skating waitresses.
Very cool...wish we still had those around here too..not many left anywere nowadays. Thanks for sharing...I know she'll remember this for a long time too!!
that is truly bad *** and what then end result of our hot rodding should be. sharing it with the ones you love. me and my wife have been trying to get pregnant for quite a while and i cant wait for a moment like that.
Cool. They got rid of the last A&W style drive in around here over 10 yrs ago. Wish there was still one around.
Very cool Pop! I still stop in Top*****h on my way to the eastside at the A&W there...love that root beer
That's great, I used to take my kids (son and daufgter) to places I used to go, some car related, some not. They're grown now but some of our visits still come up in conversation. She'll allways remember this.
Absoultely the most perfect way for a Father to show his daughter how her future "dates" are suppose to behave and act. Great experience for the both of you.
What a perfect way to show her what life was like when you were growing up.I know the kids still get a kick out of seeing the girls on rollerskates.I'm sure she will remember this for years to come.....I'm sure you enjoyed yourself it too,as we are all kids inside... Congrats! Steve
I used to take my daughter on "dates" and to cruises, then she went and grew up on me, she's 26 now. Then last week she called and begged me to meet her at the Sacred Pistons picnic. It was just like old times, she's still "my little girl". That's the car we're building together in my avatar.
Very cool! My baby girl is 26 now and from the time she was 11 up until she went off to college we had a "Daddy-Daughter date night" once a month. She got to pick where we went and I did my best to treat her like a little princess. She still talks about how cool that was. You can't go wrong keeping them close to ya!
You guys today have go it made. When the wife and I started out it was the girl who got pregnant and the guy had to work his *** off to pay for it. Do you guys get some kind of subsidy if your both pregnant at the same time so you can maintain the household during the third tri-mester? If it's a tax supported government program i'm starting a protest.........NOW!!! Frank
That's a great thing for a dad to do. I used to take my oldest to a lot of car shows. She's 13 and not as into it now. (except for Back to the 50's) Do it while you can.
You're a success! She'll tell her kids about that. Have as many of these dates as you can, daughters grow up so quickly...
I have found memories of going to get burgers and ice cream with both my dad and grandfather and now i really dig when my girls go with me.
