old banger with home made header an intake only made 30.5 hp at the wheel. I wont to put some shims under the valve springs soon that should help the dead springs it did sit for 50 years before got it

  4. A well built banger is music to my ears. Right on Larry.-Weeks

  5. My daily driver is 28 coupe, last summer I drove it all stock (never been restored, previous owner gave it a brush paint job in 1958 and rebuilt the engine in 1976), this summer it is fenderless with a 6" chop and the 4 banger has been hopped up enough to keep up with traffic on the freeways. I get lots of grief from the street rod guys about having mechanical brakes and bias ply tires, many fo which have never driven a car with mechanical brakes. When their set up right they stop great!!

  6. My next build will have mechanical brakes. They are just as good as Hydraulics but just require more maintenance/adjustment from my experience. Your car kicked *** the first time I saw it and now with the mods is even better from what I see in your avatar.-Weeks

Geez Larry, Just think. If ya drop 100 grand into that thing it will be just as cool as your 3 window.(I'm just kidding here). Looks like a thrill (for about ten minutes). Alright? I give. What are you really gone do with that old Ford? Are ya gonna keep it stock?

Hey Dale...prolly just going to fix some things and make it dependable, then flip it. It was so cheap, I couldn't p*** it up. It'll make someone a fun driver. I try not to miss an opportunity to make some extra cash...:D

Bill at Skalnik's had a **** eating grin on his face and a torch in his hand. He's waiting on you to bring it by. Remember my deuce as a box stock 32 B Tudor? Karl said he would take you check- aaaaah to the bank as fast as he could.

well i thought i'd post on this one too, i'm glad you have had the chance to own and drive one, i hope you keep her, they very rarely let you down if you take care of them. i got one about 3 years ago and already have another, and if you do keep it you will find that you'd be hard pressed to find a man that drives a model A or a hot rod banger that wasnt a really good guy. the other thing about these cars is the smiles and waves you get, you might make an old dudes day, hell, maybe even his week just by p***ing by his car window.
    good luck man!

It does this old man's heart good to hear that affordable model As still exist. Henry never meant for this car to become a rich man's affectation... Pockety on, sir.

  15. I have a lot of cars, but my 1931 Model A Coupe is powered with it's original engine and is a lot of fun to drive and will stay this way, so i can spend my time on my other cars.
