Can't tell you how much that mirror will help. I need to get one of those mounted but I probably won't. There is so much going on when driving a roadster that it sort of sucks to keep looking over your shoulder to see if someone is on you ass. I am only running one tail light so it seems that people are always creeping up to me. Very cool work.

  4. Drive faster ass-hat :D

  5. My mirror is mounted to the windshield in my roadster pickup. The damn glass vibrates at slow speed or idle, which makes everything in the mirror vibrate and jiggle around. you are wise to mount it to the header.

Awesome build! If you're ever in Texas you can stop by and work on my 25 RPU if you'd like. You seem to be making better time than I am...Congrats!

Hey Lauren, I met you at Mark's work a couple weeks ago in my 40 P/U:

How come in the before picture of your un-chopped windshield you look like you hate your life. When you go to the after pic of the chop, you are happy as can be... It must be just like the commercials of the people trying to loose weight? Looks good either way:D

patterns for the makings of a bell crank - to change the push of the pedal to a sideways down-pull to make the carb work 5.22.09

using bandsaw to cut out bell crank pattern 5.22.09

parts for carb linkage rods - to link the pedal to the crank and the crank to the carb
they have a coupling nut to make it adjustable, plus lock nuts. we found two longer bolts that and used the bandsaw to cut off the tops so we could use them for part of the linkage rods. they still have to be drilled for cotter pins

heating up bolts that we'd cut off the ends to - to bend the ends. 5.22.09

Great progress and lots of neat solutions. Well done for not just taking the easy options - auto - cable throttle etc.
Can't wait to see it driving.
