oh no,i CAN do all the metal work i have welders mig/arc,grinders cutting torch, and have access to a plasma and whatever else i mite need, and have alot of nohow, and what i lack in some areas i know people who can help.Like i mentioned earlier altho some mite not thinks it worth it i cant get it outa my head....i figure the fact that it wont cost a thing helps the $$$ side of things....i figure that a "solid" body would be around $1500 so i already will give myself that as a "get a body together" fund....i just need to find a place that has the metal to replace what is needed.

Dude, you arnt gonna find a 'place' that sells repop body panels for that. Youre gonna spend years searching for other junk w/ a panel you can cut out and weld into yours.

If you can do the work, then you know how much is involved, so why are you asking a random web board?

I can do the work so when I go look at a project, I dont ask anyone here if its worth it, because I could give a rats *** what THEIR skill levels are, just my own.

i ask not because of the condition, but of the restored value.....i.e is it worth draggin outa fixing up,and selling...like if i invested 15,000 would i be able to sell it and at least break even....as far as a "random" web board, the h.a.m.b was highly recomended to me as a place with vast knowledge in the old car world.....i dont want a "driver" i want a full blown project,i have my ford for a driver.AND if i actually cared what ya'll thought as far as junking it or not, would i not have went with the first few answers of it being trash ? i guess my whole point is that i know that you can basically take a model T door build around that and sell the ***** for a **** load, but i know little of the 37'ish body style cars, and google has shown me almost no leads as to consumer buying of this particular body style.

Dude, I'm not blasting you, I'm actually trying to show you some light.

You say you can do metal work, and have the tooling to do so. Great, I'm taking that as you can. My point is, only you, know YOUR talents and skill level. YOU need to look at it and ask YOU how long it will take YOU to do it. Cars are like houses, prices are all over the scale. Quality counts. There is a reason you dont see rat rods at the BJ auctions.

There are countless guys on this board that CAN do the work that car would take, but most wouldn't want it as a project. There are also countless guys that couldn't do the work and would kill to have it as a project. ONLY YOU can decide if it is worth the time and cost involved to bring it back. Not only bring it back, but to what caliber are you wanting to take it to get what price you are looking for.

i think i would leave it be if u plan on building it to sell. i see nice 2 doors for like 18 grand. Its gunna cost alot to make that 4 door humpback into something that is worth 15 grand. but if you wanna do it for yourself then go for it nothing wrong with that either. personally i would consider that a bad parts car. the amount of time and money to make that car nice isnt worth it

  14. Damn thing's bent all to hell from that huge tree growing through the front of it, it's been there a long time.

You might be able to cob a pickup cab out of the remains if you're really desperate, but you can buy a '37 tudor with a running motor from my friend that rolls, steers, has good floors and tires and some new tin in the back, for not a hell of a lot of money.

fair enuff chopintintops....i see what you are saying, and the sugested prices for a 2 door open my eyes to the fact that this 4 door car would truely cost more to rebuild than it would EVER sell for....

  16. Yes, drag it out and put it in your front lawn. Then cut a big hole in the top and floor boards. Then plant a tree so the tree will grow up through the car. Be the first one in your Hood to have a tree growing up through an old car.
