Root I just hauled what is left of a 36 pu home today. I will try to check this weekend to see if the regulator is in it. I'll post back on this thread if it is still there, maybe whoever was looking will check in. The w\s frame was laying in the cab but is a little weak. May be savable.

35-36 Windshied regulators are easily aquired repop. Most original ones are wasted in my experience. imho

I just found out **** Spadaro no longer has these. Does anyone know of another source?

  8. i thought **** spadaro once did a long time ago , but i wasn't aware that anyone was currently offering a repo 35-36 windshield regulator ....that may be why good used ones bring good $$$$ on that auction site. tootallrodder seams to know of a source?

Baxter Auto in Kansas usually has some rebuilt 35/36 Ford Car windshield regulators in stock.

    About $200. plus core.

    They advertise in Hemmings.

I was looking for one but found one on fordbarn.com . If I remember correctly, it was from a guy in Oregon. Now I just need to get time to remove the old one and install the one I bought.
Repops? From where? Everyone I talked to on fordbarn.com said repops are not available.

There is a guy (can't remeber his name) that will rebuild your old one.

Vintique in Orange CA was the source for all the repop windshield regulators from 1933-39. Are sales really so slow that they have discontinued them?
And YES that is what happens in the business. Sometimes what seems guaranteed to be a homerun in sales by customer calls becomes a shelf space waster as a run of 500 -1000 pieces takes 5-8 years to sell off. By the time they're gone and the market might be ready for another run unless the vendor has raised prices yearly the new manufacture cost may be too much of a shock on the retail end for success. See it, done it.

I got one years ago from Drake, it turned out to be a off shore piece of junk and he took it back no questions asked. Thats probably no one sells repops anymore. I ended up taking mine apart and welded up the teeth and filed them down just so and its been workling great for a long time.It was a tedious process but well worth it in the end cause it didnt cost me nutin !!
