Well we made it through another HUGE hurricane!!! Ive never seen winds like this before WOW!!! I lost some more HUGE branches, more roof damage, my home made awning took a HUGE hit, and I have a HUGE oak next to my front door hanging over the street that seems to want to GO down and day...I watched the ground swell and breath everytime a gust of wind blew through...it looked like a horror flick the way the whole ground wound rise and settle....Now I gotta take it down before it kills someone.....
    WE ARE ALIVE!!

Sorry to hear you got slammed again. We all have been doing so much hunkering down lately I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up with some severe hemmorhoids.
We lost power around 3 pm Sunday after we thought we were home free. After being without power for 5 and 6 days after the last storms it's the last thing I need right now. I guess I should not complain, we are all healthy and didn't suffer any major damage.

  4. Hang on fellas, I know it's rough down there. Just got back this weekend from my mothers, Ivan did a number on her, she lives directly west of P-Cola in Al. She's okay but it looks like the house will be condemned. It's starting to sag and bow pretty bad now. Those were the 6 hardest day's of work I think I have ever done. Farming is easy compared to the cleanup from these storms.

    PS Stay safe.

  7. Glad everybody is OK, once again Pinellas dodges the worst of it. Lots of trees down, bigger trees than last time though.

More power out than last time too. I haven't been out 'cept for a quick trip for coffee late last night. Lot's of sirens this morning, traffic lights are out up and down East Bay Dr.

I work for the schools and they are closed, but everybody else had to be at work. Sirens are probably responding to people on cell phones in SUVs boucing off of each other at intersections. ****ing self-involved *****s.

Luckily, by the time this one got here it had weakened to a tropical storm. Still no fun. I'm ready for a weekend with no storm or storm cleanup. [IMG]

I just got to my office a while ago. Well the roof's still there but the canopy covering our walkway got blown clean off, it must weigh a few hundred pounds. I can see a lot of damage from upstairs.

I never lost power for one second at my house, but the top ofa tree came flying down in front of my carport.

But we're OK. It seems like Mike got hit hard yet again.

Glad to hear your OK. I have relatives in Ft. Pierce and it seemed every time I turned on the TV that was the spot that was getting hit, (they are OK as well). I think I will stick to tornados, just as nasty but confined to a smaller area. If you all got out alive the rest of it is just stuff, and if it is one thing we are good at it is ac***ulating more stuff. [IMG]

I can't imagine driving on US19 without traffic lights. I stay off of it when the lights are working....even after they installed the overp***es. [IMG]

Glad to hear everbody is ok in Florida ,now the ***** has here eye on Georgia and South Carolina,,,,

I've cut enough trees from the last two storms to keep us warm for the next 3 winters,,,and from the sound of the wind and rain,,,,maybe longer! [IMG]HRP

I was REAL LUCKY this time, had a 65 foot pine tree snap off and go down away from my shop! If it would have gone the other way, there would be a flat DOGG Bucket and a flat 61 Chevy Truck. Lost power for about 6 hrs so far. Sunday I was finishing a rental house remodel and the tree in the front yard snapped and landed a foot from the front of my Dodge work truck [IMG]

I have to say we had a lot higher speed and longer wind gusts than with Frances but a lot less tornadoes and rain.

  17. Dam that ****ed just got power back 10 min ago. Been jonesing for the hamb for four day .Boy those winds sure ****ed.Just a fruit tree leening this time. Still havn't cleaned up from the first one.

Good to see you made it thru another one. Got lucky here as it went more North West of us, upstate got it worse, just lots of wind a few inches of rain and tornado watches that lasted about 24 hrs.

With only two month till Daytona, I hope they have the area cleanup and back together

  19. Glad you're all ok.

She just blew thru here - 4-7 inches of rain but w/o the wind it was no problem.

Don't hurt yourself on the clean-up!
