it was in the June 92 issue of rod and custom. Anyone know where it went or have any pics of it? Thanks
Have you looked at his site? There is a pic, and a phone number. Says it's for sale. http://www.zocchicustomcars.com/
Check the Santa Maria threads - there are several photos of it there. He still has it and brought it to SM as well as Autorama recently. It was a very inspirational car to me when I first saw it in '92. I guess you can say that it and 'Stardust' (also from '92)where responsible for my fat fender custom addiction.
It looks good in photos, but in-person you notice a few more really nice things about the way the exterior is done. Definitely my favorite of all Zocchi's cars. Does anyone remember who built it?
I love how the "speed lines" transition from the skirts through the trailing edge of the back fenders, it is one of my all time favorite customs.
That's my favorite Zocchi car also. My buddy is friends with his nephew and back in the 90's we got to see the cars in person. The nephew took us to Richard's warehouse and also a house where he had his brand new custom 57 Dodge that was later bought by Brian Setzer.
Totally agree... really nice car with door gaps so small you ownder if the doors ever will open... but they do!!! Armando Hernandez of Antiocho CA did the main body work.... Some photos I took at the Sacramento Autorama... hcar photo from Santa Maria... Albert Wallace photo...
I got to see this car three times this year once at Autorama and again at Frisco then at Santa Maria. It is a impresive car I was glad to see it outside at Santa Maria where it was not behind ropes and you could get up close and really look at the beutiful work that went into that car. Definetly one of my favorite Dodges it is awesome!
very cool custom. looks good from any angle. I'd really like to see that in a dark color, maybe marroon.
