you did really well. Based on what tri-fives are going for these days the trade is not as insane as it seems. I saw a '56 Nomad wagon rotbox at a swap meet last week with a $6900 price tag. The car was so far gone the roof was completely rotten 2-3 above the drip rails all the way around the car! I don't have to tell you what the quarters and floors looked like if the roof has rust through.

Enjoy the truck and don't worry about the Chevy. You'd fit right in with most of the Early Ford V8 club members around here.

A lot like the prices the GTO guys pay, sometimes just to get the VIN and title.

barrett jackson is killing the hod rod lifestyle! thats all i have to say... now you have all these yuppies buying a car and thinking they have gold trying to sell it for way to much money... it helps some of us... but it hurts us all... the days of buying a "cheap" classic piece of steal to turn into a nice custom are long gone... and barrett jackson is a huge part of it... all these people that have a tri 5 chevy ratting in their back yard thing that they are worth their weight in gold... and its killing us... its so hard for a young guy to build his own car now... and gas prices are driving people away as well... sorry im just rambling on now and this should probably be on its won thread but just the thought of how hard it is for a high school kid that is into the classic cars and not one of those pist off bumble bees not being able to build a car makes my blood boil...

hey all just wanted to update on thetruck... i have been driving it since i got it like 60 miles a day sometime... truck is great... but now that i have been outa wrk for over a year she needs to go... so she has a giant for sale sign on her... and im just crusin around hoping somone will buy it... i keep parking it all over the place hoping for bites...

 

sold it today for $8500
