Have seen Show Us Your, Ford, Chevy, G***er threads but no Stude thread. So let's see how many Studes are out there. I'll go first, here are some pics of my old 40 Champion coupe, tube ch***is, Dana 60 on a 4 link, LS-6 454 and M-21 4 speed.

I built this one a few years back, then she went to SoCal. But, I think she has moved on from there...

My '58 when I dragged it out of the barn in January after a 35 year nap. I bought it from the grandson of the guy who bought it new. On paperwork, I'm the second owner. (Pretty cool for a 19 year old kid. :D)

Cleaned up and she's now my daily driver. Stock 259 Stude V8, auto trans. I recovered the seats, but headliner, door panels, paint and chrome are all completely original.

    Here, tons of Studes: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164748&highlight=studebakers

There is a small icon at the top of the page...it's ***led "search this forum", you simply put a word or two into it...and it brings up all kinds of threads on the subject...and all you have to do, once you find one you like, is put a reply on it, and it'll kick it back to the front page... you could've added yours to the thread above...

The 974 on the salt with Sumners truck. We are getting the old girl ready to run again in a couple of months at Speedweek. It is one of the fastest Studebakers to ever run on the salt. It may be the fastest to hold a record but we are not sure. Some of the past record keeping of the runs at Bonneville were not good. We know of one Studebaker that made a faster p*** but we do not know if it backed up the run for a record.

Currently the 974 holds the B/BGCC record at 249.9 MPH with a top speed of 252 MPH. It was built in backyard shops by some old country boys who like to go fast.

I have one I owned since 93. Never finished it, I had a change of style and wasn't happy with it. Need to try to go in a more traditional direction. Any ideas?

So what...??? It's still viable ( I still have my Stude...had it since 1977) ...matter of small fact, someone liked that thread so much they actually did kick it back to the front page...and I noticed you added your Stude to that thread as well...!!!

When I started this tread I did a forum search for "stude" and got 20 pages of threads. I went through about 15 pages and when the threads got to be over a year old I stopped looking. If I would have found that thread I would have probably bump it up but I missed it and started a new one. Then some one bumped the old thread up so I added my car because I thought it was a "cool Stude" and that's what the thread was looking for. This thread does not say 'cool' it only say Stude. I do not think Erick would have posted his burned out Studes on the "cool Stude" thread. Anyway 2 Stude threads are better than one as we don't get much recognition.

Not sure what look you want but adding bumpers, steelys with moon caps would change the look. Glossy paint would also change the look.

Hmmmmmmm, I found it on the first page of the search...I must have the magic touch then...

Hmmmmmmmmmmm, I always thot ANY Stude was "cool," simply becuz not everyone owns one...and it's really "cool" being the ONLY Stude at a rod run most times...now if that ain't COOL, then nothing is...I sure do get tired of seeing flat blak square bodied cars...

BTW, Rdrokit, that's a "Cool" Champ you have...

It's on the first page now because the search goes by date and the tread got bumped up recently. When I did my search it must have been on the last pages as the last post to it was over a year old.

Thanks for the comment on my 40. She was a sweet ride and most people did not know what make she was as they never saw a 40 Stude. How about posting a pic of your 40.
