Nice pics of your cars. Joe must be known in the area from other drag racing exploits, eh?

Actually it's Roger that has the high profile history on the strip. He ran a top gas rail in the '60s and has been part of the scene on several levels since. Also been into other forms of racing as well, it shows in his builds.

Joe's done a variety of racing too, but has been in and out of it over the years while running his business.

They're also involved in pylon racing at some level, one of their buddies has one.

This is just from shooting the beans with'em at the strip. I won't try to relay particulars for'em, that's their call and I'd likely mess it up anyway.

I hope they come on the board sometime as they're both good eggs and pretty smart, they're picking up on our low horsepower racing really fast.

Is that statement "Politically Correct"? Shouldn't it be "Horsepower Deficient" or possibly "Motivationally Challenged"?:p

I think "pc" would be "Horsepower challenged". Although technically, "Tractionally challenged" would be more accurate for the cl***. :D

You do realize that PC actually stands for Pathetic ****, right?

    ****,
Ed sounds like he would be quite an ***et to the forum. He has lots of experience and knowledge. I'll ask him to take a look.

    Mudflap,
Damn... your just 2 days too late. I went the other way and got more gitty-up-n-go. We took the 3.73 gear out and installed a 4.10, and got rid of the 21" zoomies and built a real header. The zoomies killed all the torque below 3800 rpm. I saw that when I dynoed the engine.

When we tried it on the street yesterday it sounds like an ANIMAL. I think it may handle 2nd gear launches now. Then again it may take out the manual 3 speed and make me put a Glide in it.[IMG]

Hell Ron, with all of your horsepower and those 6" tires, just launch in 3rd and smoke the tires the full length like the old fuelers.:D

Might not go as fast and quick, but it sure would be a crowd pleasing show.

I think I took the ****** by mistake and don't have any way to get it out of my system. Now I'm wanting to "go" and just spinning my tires...so to speak.

    Roy,

Is that what I've been seeing down there. I've forgotten what I'm suppose to do with it. 4 hours would be the death of me. It was tough going 4 hours when I was young.
