wow!! I passed this one by earlier thinking it was going to be some corny thread about some rusted out rockers or something! Glad I came back to see what it was about!!! Nice pics, very nice!!
Thanks. This was my first rust revival. I kind of expected it to be like the HAMB drags but it was a different atmosphere. We couldn't stay for the night life but had a blast any way. Thanks to the Wayland crew. FYI I had the BLT, 3 bean salad, and home made potato chips at Reed's and it was tasty. I expected a dump but instead found a great place with excellent food. See you next year.
Nice stuff, thanks for sharing. Dig the gasser style 56, though it seems as though the straight frame rails are of really small diameter tubing?
Could be. We'll find out as soon as my buddy Mike launches one and lifts the front 3 feet off the ground. I thought the state trooper in the maroon Crown Vic was going to pull him over when he did a burn out before we loaded it back on the trailer. It has 4.xx gears and an Olds rear. It's an old race car from years back. Here is an old picture of it from wayyyyyyyyyyy back.
It is. It's about some guy who used to load the econoline van. Tonights the night..... Tonights the night.....
This is such a clean ride!!! and the fan cover is a nice touch to hide the electric fan. I remember seeing that as a tech article on here quite a while back. nice car!
Lotus, That sedan was my favorite of the show. It was clean, well thought out, detailed, yet simple. I loved the color and all the accessories tied together really well.
thanks for the pic of my Merc, Orange. Great time at Rust Revival yesterday. Thanks to Breeder and everyone who obviously worked hard to put on a great event!
Great pics! Thanks, now I'm even more bummed I couldn't make it. It was for a good cause though, wrenchin' on the car.
Thanks for posting the pictures I forgot my camera and you got some great shots. I loved coming to Wayland for this event looked like a great time had by all. To the guys who put on the show Well Done
As far from Joplin as you can be and still stay in Missouri. Really wish I coulda went this year. I had a blast last year and was thinking (dreaming) about it all day yeasterday. And yes, Reed's resturant is quite a good surprise. You'd never expect that nice of a place in "downtown" Waylon.
Hey all. Thanks for the comments. It does make me ready for the drags and has gotten me back motivated in getting my truck finished to DRIVE to an event.
Thanks for all the pics Orange i had a blast and thanks to Breeder and everyone that helped with the show like i said I had a blast. Luckily the trooper didnt pursue me for my little blast down the highway. As for the frame rails on my car its just the angle of the pic I guess because they are 3-1/2 inch quarter wall rectangular tubeing. They are plenty strong that car has been 6.20 in the eight with the front end 2 feet of the ground back when it was raced.
