I'm trying to get a fender from Canada, and hoping to beat the ridiculous international shipping rates (it's a heavy and large '40's fender). The guy says he'll drive it to the border at the I-5 in Washington, if someone wants to bring it back over and ship it from the post office on this side. IS ANYONE VERY CLOSE TO THIS BORDER CROSSING THAT COULD POSSIBLY DO THIS?
I'm working in Burlington for a while (2 weeks) can he bring it that far? About an hour from the border. I'm rite on I-5. Wife works for the Post Office.........OLDBEET
Thanks, Beet. Keep the offers coming folks, and maybe tomorrow I'll hit the guy up with the possibilities to see how far it can go. I'm not looking to make a lot of trouble for anyone, really I guess just trying to get it to a post office on the U.S. side to cut the shiping costs in half.
Is WhiteRock right on the border crossing? I looked on the map and saw "Rock", but no "White Rock" and thought maybe it was a typo. What are the actual dates/times you'll be heading across the border?
yep, right at the border, although i am moving to richmond on thr 1st-but my ex is keepin the house so i will still be around-will be leavin friiday the 7th
[ QUOTE ] are you 'mericans stealin our tin again??? [/ QUOTE ] I just brought about a ton and a half of it your way last week so he should be ok.lol
If the guy is willing to take it just across the border, I can give you the name of a place to ship it from about half a mile into Blaine WA. I'm also planning on going across on the 9th. What city is the fender in? If it's close to me I can take it too.
