Nick, thanks for taking the time to post those great pics. We in the east don't get to see those cars.

That's about all for the show photos.
A few of us left early on Saturday to make it to Jeff's (Hiboy32) surprise birthday party. Happy Birthday, Jeff!

A couple funny pics on the way home--
I really can't be the only one that finds humor in this :)

Thanks for the pics, looks like a great turnout. That yellow/cream Merc wagon is interesting...I think I like it?

Yes, very nice wagon! I think it's a '49/'50 front, '54 Merc quarters, and a '57 Ford wagon roof? Lots of work went into it for sure!

There was actually a good turnout of cars. There weren't many vendors at all - funny, I didn't even walk down 'vendor row', either

This show did seem to replace Americruise and was run by the Family Events company. I'm not sure there's really any connection to one of the magazines any more.

Dig it. I like the golf bag hole cut in the Model A.
The Merc wagon is interesting. Appears to use a Ford rear window?

Built and owned (last I knew anyway, don't know if he's sold it yet) by Dave Dolman of Verdun, NE...about a 15-20 year project...when I first saw it in his garage, it was so much junk...no top, only sides of it and even that was falling down a lot...he said he was going to build it and I thot "no way is that thing ever coming back to life." But like anything else, where there's a will, there's a way and Dave is a great builder. The top is '57 Ford wagon and I thot the quarters were Ford, but maybe I wasn't paying enuff attention when he was describing it to me? The taillights are '52/'53 Merc so maybe they are Merc quarters. I think the Merc was "done" about two years ago...

Looks like there was plenty of parking on Friday, Nick...any idea how many cars there were on Saturday...???

Did you get a chance to talk to Randy?
I'm not digging the lines of the top at all. Seems like the last bow (the wooden one) is in the wrong position but it's kinda hard to tell from this angle. You take a photo from the side or back by chance?

Thanks for sharing all those photos. Looks like Saturday would have been the best day to attend.

I did get a chance to talk to him for just a couple minutes. I mentioned your name and he talked about running into you in Des Moines last year.
I also told him about running into his brother, Ryan, just west of Salt Lake City last year, as well as seeing Ryan and his wife in Austin.
Randy seems like a very nice, friendly guy.

The only other photo that I have of his car is a cell phone photo:

It was pretty busy around there on Saturday, it seemed like almost 3x the number of cars that were there on Friday! I'd estimate about 1,500 total.

Thanks for posting those photos, Tim.

I'm starting to wonder if all of my photos uploaded, because I do remember taking a picture of that car. He's actually a HAMB member, too. 55G***er, I think? or G***er55?

Damn, I should've gone. My chore list is getting back up though. Wifey had me working.

  16. Looks like a little something for everyone !! That orange vette---holy **** !! Thanks for the pics Nick >>>>.

  17. Nick- ever since Family Events took over Americruise and Street macine nationals those venues have gone down hill. To me a big part of an event of this size is having a lot of major vendors. Just some thing else to do and look at.

I heard 2000+ registered when I was walking around on Saturday. I had #1202, but didn't drive the 'Bird or '55 Victoria since I don't have my NE YOM registrations yet, so my '09 Focus technically didn't 'count'. Vendor's row was a joke, and kind of a shame since I won't be able to go to other major events in Des Moines and Kansas City this year. I will say I saw more '61 Starliners in one venue than I have since going to Carlisle All-Ford in '97. Wish I could have seen that '55 Crown Vic, though...

Great pics man. Thanks for taking the time to post them.

That 50 Merc wagon was a feature in Street Rodder a few months ago. A really neat car.

  27. The 63 Impala SS is my oldest sons car, was his first car ever. Saved his pennies and dimes for the 409. Thanks for posting a pic of it Malcom, it will make him really happy to have it on the HAMB! I have known Herb Patton for years and thanks to him for several pieces he supplied for my latest project. He is Mr. Chevy. All the 61 Starliners there were owned by my friends, in fact ALL 3 of them were restored/rebuilt by my good friend Mad Muscle (Scott Madison) here on the HAMB! I just wish someone had gotten a picture of the 65 ChevyII,black with a straight axle and Cragars with pie crusts, it was a beautiful little ride. Thanks for sharing all the pics, I was there all 3 days and didnt see a couple of the cars you had posted!
