Actually I am not sure what it's worth but I would ***ume that it's going to bring more money then a 5W and they were saying $5,000 would be a good price for one of those.

Well without seeing it cost is tough, at the least a couple thousand. Doors and Firewall and some really rough stuff there. But it is still a '32 5 window and they don't grow on trees anymore. Too bad, it looks like it already got the hardtop treatment. The real question is how good are you at sheetmetal work? That's going to make or break that project.

    Good luck,
    Tim

Get him to commit a asking price and maybe save yourself some time?

what is the best way to start to fix it since it has no interstucture? i would like to build a east coast style rod out of it so i know i would have to build a floor for it anyway. if it was yours what would do and where would you start?

If that is your idea of rough, then we come from different planets.

Get a nice, strait frame, start at the cowl and work your way back. Your gonna have to brace the hell out of it to get it not so "jello" like. I would fab up a stick type floor for now to hold it together, and try lining everything up, getting the doors opening/closing right, ect. Once thats done and it's more sound, build your channeled floor.

**** that...if the guy does want to sell it, make him give you a price...
It's not the buyer's responsibility to set the price.
He just wants to see if you'll offer more than what he (or others) have in mind.....

Tell him he's the one that has an item for sale, and ask him what he wants for it. He knows what he will take and what he won't, and he's hoping you will offer him several thousand dollars more than what he'll take. That sounds harsh, but in reality, he has a figure in mind and is hoping for more, you have a figure in mind and are hoping for less.........Just like the cl***ifieds, I believe in the seller determining the price.

Now, as for my opinion, I think anything over $2000 is crazy........not realistic I know, but then again, I bought my 30 A coupe body and ch***is for $190. I love 32's and all, but I'm not ever going to pay 10 K for a rusty bent up shell.

Looks like the perfect donor for the 3w "roadster" the young guy bought at the auction down in Texas!

I think he's saying they took the vent wings out... so it's a hardtop now!

  22. Abomb's right. I never even consider buying anything unless the seller is willing to give me a price. He's fishing for ****ers. Seems to have the right bait though, '32 Ford stuff is just silly. I'd go with a $2000 offer too. Maybe you'll get lucky and it'll piss him off so he tells you to go away. Of course if you're luck turns bad and you negotiate a low price you'll have to fix the the thing. Good luck.

It really depends what kind of person he is. He might be looking for 1k! I would make him say a price. If not offer 1500 bucks. If he is a true 32 guy he will know the value of it. If this is all the guy has, chances are he has no idea.

Guy's that don't set an asking price waste your time, get your hopes up, and generally think they have a million dollar ****pile, when in all reality what they have a $8000- $10,000 ****pile. Even if the guy was my best friend I would tell him "Why don't you stop jerking me around and give me an asking price, ya ***** ?".

I feel like ***** slapping these people sometimes who have something for sale but have no price.

"make me an offer".... so you low ball them and then they get all insulted and tell you it's worth more. well yeah no ****.. but only a fool would offer full price for something having no idea what the guy thinks it is worth.

I agree with ABOMB, I wouldnt pay 10gs for that (not a huge fan of '32s).....its really what you want to pay....you gotta figure out what you want to do... can you fix it or do you need someone else to fix it? Are you going to build it or flip it the way it is? I wouldnt let it slip away but also wouldnt pay an arm and a leg for it....ME, I would try to flip it...even if its not for that much money, the real issue for me would be that it goes to the right person who will build it and drive it. 2cents

I agree on having him set an asking price, then go from there.

32 3/w's go for crazy $$$. Even beat, the doors alone would go for a grand+ each. The roof another grand or two.

It's saveable, but will need a ton of work to get straight.

Vent windows....not until 1940 on Fords. I think he thought that someone took a 5W and cut out the are between the windows...hardtopped it. Maybe not, but what the hell else would that mean??
