Hmmm... A new clearcoat, spruce up the trim, fix the dash lights and put in a monstrous cam. Call it a day maybe? Its 100% and a half. It doesnt need anything mechanicaly but maybe a tachometer added if I can figure it out.

Slick, we had one of those little 4 doors a few years ago and had a ball with it. You can expect to have friends bumming rides in that back seat too. No lack of comfort there for cruising the gut and those out of town road trips.

You're a lucky man...Those '56 Fords are some of the best lookin' cars ever...and the dash is right up there with a '49 Merc, in mho.

Looks real fine ! I see you have a 312 in it . Is it stock still ?
I have a 55 Fairlane Fordor . I prefer your dash over mine along with the side molding .
Any more plans with your's ? I am going to the All Fords Nationals in Carsile on Friday . I am always looking for something there ! If you are looking for anything special let me know . If I see it I will get the vendors phone number and send it your way .

  18. I love my '56. I too think '56 was the best looking Ford ever made .. well in my opinion but I may be a little biased. Mine's a 272. Is that a 312? ( I don't know how one would know from these pictures) If so they were very rare in a '56. Have fun with it and visit yblocksforever.com. Those guys know everything there is to know about Y-blocks. I see it's a manual transmission. Is it an overdrive? Have fun with it ..

Close, Its a 292 w/o OVERDRIVE! I'd love an overdrive transmission though. With the pipes it sounds like its going to explode at about 60 miles an hour. Thanks for the well wishes.
