If you don't want to call it a CUSTOM, I think it does fall right into the neat group of cars from the postwar days to the very early 60s known as SPECIALS.

  4. Driving a PT Cruiser to Vegas would wear anyone out.

The Fordillac looks amazing. Can't wait to see it finished sitting outside.

Wow, when i first saw the thread where you painted the fenders, I wasn't sure about that color.

Have to say I was wrong, and it looks great!

    Kudos!

I took a look at your pictures again. I think a tan convertible top would cap it off perfectly. Any plans for that or are you going to run it sans top?
You hit the ball out of the park.........

That comes close to capturing the look of some of the prewar coachbuilt rigs that show up at the high rent events once in a while. I second the tan top concept.

Looks Amazingly cool. Great color choice and the cycle style fenders work well. A tant top would look cool or a tan Tonneau cover! Excellent work.

  10. Have always thought there was no substitute for full fenders on a '36, but, somehow, it
all works! Diggin the color, too. (Also agree about the tan top)

    Way beyond cool. Fabulous job.
It's great when outside the box is so spot on.
Burnt orange top and accents might work well with the green.
That thing ought to be a blast to cruise in.

  12. it'll do, it will do. but seriously shes looken cool

Excellent, the color really makes that car. I'm scared to see the aftermath builds that come from what a nice hot rod you've put together. It takes a pretty good concept and eye to get that all to workout.

    Great job.

  14. I love it. Well done.

  15. Looks great, sure will be the only one on the road. Good work.

    Hahaha, EXACTLY my feelings!

Take a break and enjoy this sucker, but can you just imagine a sneaky, folding 356 speedst'r style top for it? Maybe from a PT Cruiser or a New Beetle?

Roll it outside, we must see more pics!

Thom Taylor needs to see it.

The paint really ties everything together and takes the car to a new level. Can't wait to see it on the road!

    I like it! Custorod?

  21. The MGB windshield looks good on there... I think I'm going to keep the Midget WS I have and look for cowl...

    Congrats!

  22. That looks just like the one my best friends uncle usta have. It's a 33 Schleper touring sedan aint it?

  23. Beautiful! Love the color.

  24. I have a '36 tudor sedan also - had it about 24 years. We pretty much kept it original when we rebuilt it. It's also GREEN. I have a special affinity for these '36 cars and yours is just killer! One of the special features are those convex lense headlights. WW and beauty rings give it pure attitude - how about some more pics?

it reminds me of a drawing I saw in rod and custom a few years ago............kind remember when or who............but the article was for ideas on using mid 30's sedan bodies for something.
