we found these running boards with a lot of parts that came with a 1932 roadster that we picked up. the car was fenderless, but these boards might be a hint to an old show car career it may have had. even if not, they are pretty cool. you just don't see this style enough anymore. they are fully upholstered in leather with polished step plates.
i just thought you guys would appreciate them.

They are '32 boards. If you don't use them like they are just strip them down and buy new stock covers, sandblast them, install covers, presto like new '32 running boards.

the rest of the car is nothing special. just a 1932 roadster body in flat black primer. nothing we haven't all seen a million times before.

the car is going to stay fenderless, so we won't be using them.

i just thought they were pretty damn cool for what they are.

  6. I remember the early to mid 60's that was the style.I used to drool over 32 Fords in the old Hot Rod mag with the upholstered running boards, top insert and interior all matched. My 32 had diamond tufted upholstery on the boards.

I absolutely love the look, it just screams, 'period.' It is interesting though, with all the 50's and 60's style cars being build nowadays, it is rarely seen.
