Carburetors Outlawed

Is there any truth that cars with carburetors, no matter what age, will be removed from roads in a few years ?Another site says this legislation was tacked onto last stimulus bill and is now a law.Will come into effect in 2012.I went to SEMA site and it is so big,I had no luck finding my way around.Other site said it was on national news.

 

Let's freakin hope not cause if so we will all be screwed!

Hell my 97 Harkey has a carb on it and I intend to ride it till i croak..same with all my other carb. running toys

 

I checked the four big automotive websites and nothing like that is being reported. Autoweek and the others would have some news regarding this, I'd think.
But, that won't stop some amusing comments by the "experts" on here

 

Sooner or later the internal combustion engine as we know it will be obsolete ,,and needs to be if teh planet is to live..Its had a very healthy run

 

Better scoop up that Hilborn & Algon stuff now!!! hahah!!! I doubt that's true though.
