On my daily driver, a 1997 chevy s10, my headlights have a problem. They have daytime running lights from what i know, because they are on, but really low during the day.
Then at night time when i turn them on, i can drive for about ten minutes then the start to flicker, they will go from high beams to low beams and shut off really fast in no particular order???
I have changed all the relays and none of the wires look to be tampered with. Im just trying to figure out the problem and fix it myself. Any help will be appreciated!!! Thanks Nate

Sounds like a bad dimmer switch. (Combo switch)

the previous owner said it used to have a alarm. Would this have anything to do with it? Thanks Nate

definately sounds like something is wrong with your dimmer or headlight switch. Start there!

The alarm COULD jack with it but this sounds like cl***ic modern GM dimmer switch issues to me.

    Good luck bro.

yeah i got the printout of the headlight wiring today and traced everything, and the only thing i could find was the dimmer switch which is built in with the headlight switch could be the problem. So i went to my local napa, picked one up for 16 bucks, switched and it hasnt done it since!!! Thanks Guys Nate
