Your refering to a Y type I think..

A friend of mine has a complete body no chassis but has doors and front end.. He might sell, would have to ask .. The body is not mint by any stretch of the imagination but it is rodable ..

I've always liked the Y - they look like 3/4 scale '34 Ford Tudors to me. I also thought a V8-60 would be a neat engine to drop in one - a 3/4 scale flattie for a 3/4 scale Ford! [IMG]

When looking for sheetmetal - there's an early & late version. The difference is in the grille shell, but it affects the rest of the front sheet metal (I think). Over here, they're known as short rad/long rad versions - the short rad versions were only the first few years...

Might make a neat gasser a la Topolino!

  5. Hey, Eric! Your vision of a V860 powered Y is happening - and not too far away. Nervous Bob has one planned over in Bury St. Edmunds. Just needs time and space, the rest is all there...
Gasser would be good, along the lines of that white Pop at the Hot Rod drags.

Indeed, Bob dropped by my house the day he picked the Y up. He's got a lot of work ahead but it'll be a stormer when done. I took a photo of it on the trailer, I'll see if I can find it when I get home.

If you're after panels, there is the All Ford Rally this Sunday in Abingdon near Oxford. This is the major classic Ford event of the year.

This is advertised for sale on the UK NSRA site at the moment.

  9. Artiki, that's quite similar to the one Bob had before, little lower, not as chopped. Haven't seen it since he sold it, and don't have a picture.

  10. Found it - but that's not Nervous Bob!

It's a while since I've been there. As a strange coincidence, the Y pictured above - if you look carefully, the aforementioned Meigle resident is in the driving seat of the Y ; I know 'cause I took the pic! --- and completely boring so I'll get me coat [IMG]
