Curious about these. Do you have any pictures or a link to where you got them?

    from So. Tex.

Spacers would stiffen the spring and keep it from compressing, no? Not actually lower the vehicle. Never heard of lowering blocks for the front.

Those lower the car by dropping the spring pocket on the lower control arm. The only thing to watch out for is alignment and ball joint bind now that the arms will travel higher in the car relative to the frame.

Yeah, I put a similar kit in my '53 Customline a million years ago. Just follow the directions, it's easy... the hardest part is getting the bottom plate to separate from the lower A-arm after you drill out the hot-rivets. I had to use an air-chisel... very gingerly.

It lowered the front a couple of inches and the ride was fine.

    good luck

They've been around for a long time. Here's an ad from the 50's.

Make sure you remove the spring from the car BEFORE you start removing the rivits !!

  12. Interesting, I was looking at the stock independent front end on Dad's '34 Plymouth coupe the other day and wandered if I couldn't space down the spring pockets to get the nose down a little.

The add that Flyn-T posted has the instructions you need.

It sounds simple enough but I'm glad I don't have my fingers, hands and face around that project.

It would probably be best to use some really solid ramps to get the tires up on. I wouldn't trust my old stamped steel ramps for that project though.

If you don't take the spring out you are going to have to work around the jack to get the rivits out an maybe drill the holes in the control arm to fit the bolts.

If you read that thread all you do is purchase new coils and call it a day.

  18. Billet or just T 60-61 aluminum. Don't call 'em billet and no one will ever know.

Install them according to the instructions, check everything twice then have a buddy come and give it the once over. You'll be alright.
