the magazines that were put out by hot rod in the late 80's

I can't remember if they were annuals or what but it was just large pics of the cars 1 or 2 page spread just a little wording about the car and a girl in a swimsuit with each car

these were my holy grail magazines at the time just cool cars and hot chicks and that was it! pretty heavy stuff for a 12 or 13 yr old kid who was car crazy and just starting to realize that girls were for more than just throwing rocks at.:D

long story short my ex wife threw them out along with 10 years of collected magazines (CARtoons hot rod rod&custom) I'm still not over it.

anyone know what the ***le was, I just want to track them down on ebay but cant remember how they were ***led.

    thanks for any help

Autobuff. I had every single issue! Lost the whole lot when a tornado destroyed my house. Had Hot Rod, Car Craft, and a whole bunch of other magazines from the late '60s to the mid '90s. All gone.

    Autobuff. Yeah, buddy!

Back in 1984 I worked with Holly Hedrich who was editor of AUTOBUFF and was supposed to sell advertising on the East coast. Along the way I made a few contributions. Here are a few shots from one of them.

If you read the first sentence of his post, he said that they were published by Hot Rod, and that the women were in swimsuits. Autobuff was not published by Petersen.

I think Hot Rod Show World too. And that was sort of like the program for ISCA car shows.

It was a sad day when Autobuff went T-U. I have every issue save a few a neighborhood friend of my brothers borrowed and ruined.

I'm sure there's enough DNA evidence to convict him...

I have 1 full of 70's and 80's show cars with the odd merc and cool cars like the red barron, lil red wrecker and yes lots of big hair girls in bikinis and leg warmers!!!
It's in my pile of "never read again" mags.
