I can't complain too much but I was just curious what is the worst starter you've ever bought and finished?

I'm still working on it. I found a 1950 Divco Model 13 in the desert. It was really rusty around the roof rail area.

Is that the Muntz from the auction in Indiana from a year or two back?

If it is (I don't know of any other white Muntz in the woods,) you are my hero. That thing was ROTTEN, and very incomplete.

Here's one of mine - took four years but it eventually came together.

  14. I had the joy of replacing the bottom 3-4 inches of a 57 Chevy from bumper to bumper.
It was fun figuring out where to start to build a foundation. If not for the firewall and a two foot section over the back axle, that car would have channeled itself.

Not HAMB but I started with a 66 Mustang fastback that a friend was using for a parts car. It had no interior, front sheetmetal, and no suspension. Good part was it was completely rust free and cheap, $75. This was in 1982. Finished it in Sautern Gold with White pony interior, four speed and a 302. Drove it everywhere. Sold it 10 years later for $10k

Ohio car came to ColoRODo, full of rust -trunk, quarters, rockers, floors. Took it off their hands for $250.00. Worse mistake I ever made...took a year to re-do and barely got back what I put into it...I guess it was the "challenge"...

Thanks, 1953 Muntz Jet. Here's a link to a feature on it in The Rodders Journal. I think it begins on page 104. http://rodders.netricksmedia.com/

You guys are killing me :D:rolleyes:! I'm not say'n I'm the winner here, but some of that stuff looks like show car material compared to what I started with. ;)

Some guy here has pics of a 40 Ford coupe, chopped, flat head Caddy, that he's working on that, hands down, was the worst car I've ever seen anybody ressurect, it's amazing!

    Fun thread.

Well no where done. And who knows when it will ever see the road.

But this is how it came home.

This is where it is at the moment. Nothing set in stone just trying to get it together at the moment so I can build a frame.
