Anybody know of a company making stick adapters for the late caddy 500? Four speed or five gears.

Bellhousing isn't the problem like paintcan54 said. Any BOP bell lines up just fine but the flywheel for it runs about 500.00 last I knew.

  5. +3 on the BOP bell. You have to drill the crank for the pilot bearing, too, right?

Thanks guys, my buddy is trying to pull off this swap on the cheap. I'll p*** this info to him.

  7. Yep. Gotta have the crank machined for the pilot bearing. My understanding is that none of the Caddy cranks have a pilot bearing provision.

  8. yessiree...all autos in the later Caddy's...

Edit: I dunno if my computer is slow, or if it's me:eek:

I had a caddy 500 in my work truck with a 5 speed NV4500 behind it,The flywheel is definately the spendy part, the crank can be drilled by hand using a regular drill. There is a pilot bushing available that fits into the torque converter register, the crank just needs a clearance hole drilled in it for ****** input shaft clearance, this can be done with the motor ***embled.
