I've never been to the new location, (Mason Dixon Dragway) but maybe someone who has can suggest a good spot? I'm headin out for the day with 47Ford, and probably Kustom7777, be there around 10 maybe?

Let's say 1pm. Location - Pitside, near the bleachers on the hill.

    I'll wear my HAMB shirt.

Me and mike should be there Billy. It really depends on how much I can get done to the car this week and throw some temporary primer on it.

What's the deal with the two events KKOA in MD and KOA in Biglerville? Which will be better?

I'lll be there Fri, Sat. and Sun. Never been to the Mason-Dixon Dragway, so I can't suggest a spot to meet.

I think the show at Mason Dixon is taking the place of the one in Pa. That what their website says.

According to KOA's flyer, Rat rods, imports and mini trucks are welcome. And they give a 200.00 dollar award for the best "ratzee" rod, whatever the hell that is.

I think I'll be going to the KKOA show at Mason Dixon.

Do they have a camping area at the event? Another Hamber asked me this question yesterday?

I'll be there friday and staying through, and I go to this track just about every weekend. They have lots of good room to camp, and should be doing it, and hang out, and on the pit side by the bleachers there is a bit of a hill, that would probably make for a good spot to meet.

Define alot. Last year there were a good handful I'd say, including 3 awesome '40 Mercs! Witht the addition of the drags, I'd bet alot more hotrods will be coming out as well.

Great little track in the mountains. I live about 20 min away and spent many many weekends there racing with Pops. Theyve been advertising the hell out of this show on the radio. Ill be up all day Friday and Saturday

Theres also plenty to do up the road as far as good food, lodging and a sutff to do for that "few hour break". Also, if your woman is complaining about the sun and heat you can dump them at the outlet stores about 5 miles up and go back an enjoy the show....it'll keep em busy for most of the day. Or stick em with the kids and 50 bucks and send them across the street to ride go-karts while you enjoy the swap meet in peace

Ehhh, not really 100% what your looking for Zach. Maybe a bit. I go every year, and I do like it a lot, but you can usually count the pre 49 custom cars on one hand, maybe both if your lucky.

Mostly a lot of 49-51 ford and mercs, many late 50's fords and chevy's, and some mid 50's stuff. Lots of mild customs.

Its an older crowd generally that has been doing it for a long time, and have grown to like their cars with tilt columns, P.S., Air, etc. You'll see an awesome car, walk up, only to be amazed that someone put a late 70's GM tilt column in it.

Its still very well worth going, even if just to meet up with the east coast custom guys. Your chances of catching a dead on perfect early 40's style 35-38 custom ford coupe are very slim though.

While the pre 50's cars, built before maybe 1953 or so are my main interest, you really have to go to the other cost to find guys building them, it seems.

Had to cancel my plans to attend KKOA to get ready for family vacation on Monday (various car servicing that needs to be done that will take most of the weekend). Have a great time and I'm looking forward to seeing the pics!
